As we have modernized our church over the years, we have added many components to our service. Although these advances are not required, they can be helpful tools for our worship service and our ability to share information.
A typical service requires slides, sound (upstairs and downstairs), and video. All positions are designed to serve our people within the church, and they have become a valued part of our church service. Training is available for all areas.
Expectations:
Slides
  • Use a Mac computer in service to advance slides and play preset videos.
  • Edit/add slides during rehearsals
  • Available rehearsal times are Thursday evenings, 6-8 PM, and Sunday Mornings, 830-930 AM.
Video
  • We use OBS software and a video switcher to project our service to the televisions.
  • Record the service as needed to offer digital media.
  • Before the service, make sure the system is functional and working correctly.
Sound
  • Adjust the sound for the musicians during rehearsals on Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM, Sundays from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, and service from 10 to 11:15 AM.
  • Sound checks and mic checks are conducted at the direction of the worship team.
Church Membership: Not Required

One element of our worship service is singing. We lift our voices in praise, thanksgiving, and honor to our Lord. The worship team consists of various instrumentalists and vocalists. Its purpose is to magnify the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, complement the preaching of the Word and the service as a whole, and edify the congregation with the truth of Who God is and what He has done, that hearts may be lifted to worship and glorify God.
Expectations
  • A heart that desires to make Jesus the central focus of the worship services.
  • Willing to set up a time to meet with some Worship Team members to present your gifting. The audition process is to determine skill level and potential to help find the best fit for the team.
  • Willing to learn the music announced in advance
  • Participate in practices on Thursday Nights (6-8 PM) and Sunday Mornings (830-930 AM)
  • Participate during the start and conclusion of the service.
  • Band size is subject to available volunteers.

Our youth group consists of students in grades 6-12. These are considered some of the most impressionable years of someone's life. As our youth seek to discover their identity, there is no question that there is a world of distractions and temptations. At BBC, our goal is to create an environment where children can come to know God personally and build a relationship with Him, worshiping the Lord in all circumstances. We aim to help them form healthy friendships grounded in Gospel principles. This journey starts by teaching our children how to read and understand God's word, guiding them to live out their faith and trust in His grace. We have the privilege of planting the seed of hope that leads to eternal life, preparing the next generation to carry the torch of the Gospel.

This can only be accomplished through various roles within our ministry. Those roles include Teachers, Teacher helpers, Volunteers to provide care for our Toddlers and Preschoolers, Child Assistants (CAs), and Check-in and Check-out personnel.

The number of volunteers determines the frequency of service. Our current rotation is every five to six weeks.

Teachers:

  • Teachers should possess a genuine love for Jesus and a passion for nurturing young souls. Must be members of BBC and should familiarize themselves with the curriculum provided. Each lesson is customizable to accommodate teaching styles, should last approximately 10 to 15 minutes, and be tailored to the appropriate age groups.
  • Comfortable using a provided tablet to stream worship music and videos. All games, craft projects, one-on-one discussions, and objective lessons are provided in the easy-to-use curriculum.
